Guidance, not fate

Purple Star computes Zi Wei Dou Shu and BaZi charts with deterministic, open-source astronomical code and explains them in plain English. Everything it tells you is offered for reflection, self-understanding and entertainment. It is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and it must never be your reason to make — or avoid — a decision in any of those areas. The classical systems speak in tendencies; your choices remain yours.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the site.

You need to be at least 16 to create an account. Keep your sign-in email under your control; whoever holds it holds the account. You may save other people's birth details (for comparison charts) only with their consent — they're the owner of that data, you are its guardian. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service: scraping, automated bulk requests, or attempts to work around usage limits.

The product is in early access. Free-tier limits, premium scope and pricing may change as it matures; whatever price you see when premium opens is the one that binds, and any founding-price promise made on the premium page will be honoured. Payments, when open, are handled by Stripe with real receipts; until then, tapping unlock only registers your founding price.

Paid features are billed through Stripe; we never see or store your card details. The first payment of any subscription is refundable within 7 days, no questions asked, and a single-chart unlock is refundable within 48 hours of purchase. A refund ends the access it paid for. To request one, email hello@ppstar-astrology.com from the address on your account. Subscriptions can be cancelled any time from your account page and remain active until the end of the paid period.

The site is provided as-is. We work hard on the correctness of the chart computation, but we make no warranty that the service is uninterrupted or error-free, and — to the maximum extent the law allows — we are not liable for decisions made, or not made, on the basis of a reading. Our total liability for anything arising from the service is limited to what you paid us in the past twelve months, which for the free product is nothing.

This product stands on open-source shoulders, gratefully:

• iztro and lunar-javascript (MIT) compute the astrolabe and the lunisolar calendar.
• The classical interpretation layer draws on the Renhuai123/ziwei-doushu knowledge base (MIT code; corpus used with attribution) — a provenance-graded distillation of the Ni Haixia (倪海厦) Zi Wei Dou Shu tradition. Where a reading cites a classical verse, the citation carries its provenance; quotes attributed to Ni Haixia appear only where the source corpus grades them as verified and episode-cited.

The English interpretations, glossary and product itself are © Purple Star. Chinese metaphysics is a living tradition that belongs to no one; our aim is to explain it faithfully, not to claim it.

These terms may change as the product does; the effective date above moves when they do. Material changes will be visible on this page before they apply.
