The Moon (太阴, Tài Yīn — also written taiyin) is one of the 14 main stars of Zi Wei Dou Shu: quiet radiance, deep waters — perceptive, refined, a wealth star of home.
Its nature
Tai Yin is the Moon: perceptive, refined and privately ambitious, accumulating steadily rather than loudly. It is one of the chart's great wealth stars, tied especially to home and property, and it has a fine aesthetic sense. The teaching is all about brightness — a full, luminous Moon brings beauty and quiet prosperity; a dim one brings mood and instability.
The shadow side
The Moon keeps too much inside and lets its moods set the agenda. In its darker seats it grows melancholy and inward; its work is to let in enough light — company, air, movement — that feeling does not run the whole house.
